To the Parents of 3rd Year Home Economics students.
Dear Parent,
Please note that the Home Economics Food Literacy Practical Exams (Cookery Exams) are being held on Thursday 5th May (Mrs. Anne O Driscoll’s groups) and Friday 6th May (Marian Lynch’s group/M Keohane/G McCarthy).
Students are required to be in school for the duration of the school day irrespective of whether they are doing the exam in the morning or the evening.
This practical exam is organised by the Department of Education and skills and therefore times or dates cannot be changed.
The groups of Students and the times of the exams are posted in the files section of Teams for your information: “ Guidelines for Food Literacy Practical Exam” in the Food Literacy Skills folder.
The exam is worth 50% of the Students’ Home Economics marks for their Junior Cycle exam.
We would be grateful of your co-operation in making sure that your daughter brings the following on the morning of the exam:
Good luck to all the students doing the exam. They have worked very hard in their preparation so hopefully will ‘show off’ their skills in the exam and will enjoy doing the exam.
Thanking you in advance,
Anne O Driscoll.
