In partnership with Bere Island Community Radio, students learn for to record, produce and edit radio segments as as part of their Communications and Literacy classes. This module gives students practical, hands-on experience in the world of radio broadcasting while developing essential communication skills.

Students: 

  • Record, produce, and edit radio segments, creating original content, from scripting to on-air presentation.
  • Develop technical skills: Learn sound editing, mixing, and the basics of radio production.
  • Enhance communication skills: Build confidence in speaking, storytelling, and engaging an audience.
  • Teamwork and collaboration: Work in groups to plan, produce, and finalise shows, learning how to cooperate and manage a project. 
  • Critical thinking and creativity: Plan topics, interviews, and segments..
