Gradam na Scoláirí
Our annual Gradam na Scoláirí celebrates academic, sporting, and extra-curricular achievements, along with participation and effort. It is an opportunity for students, parents/guardians and teachers to formally acknowledge the wonderful achievements of our students at Scoil Phobail Bhéara.
Gradam na Scoláirí, May 2025:
Congratulations to all our award recipients! We are proud of each and every student, and the awards are an opportunity to celebrate academic and sporting achievements, along with participation and effort.
A heartfelt thank you to our guest speakers and past pupils, Lieutenant Commander Gillian Power of the Naval Service, and Dr. Ryan O'Sullivan, Specialist Registrar in ENT, Head & Neck Surgery, for their inspiring words. Many thanks to our sponsors; Bantry Bay Port Co., the Parents Association, AIB Castletownbere, Bantry Credit Union and Moore Accountants, and Bank of Ireland.
Sincere thanks also to Mary Hegarty, Chairperson of the Board of Management, Deirdre Harrington from AIB, Gillian O'Neill from Bantry Credit Union and Paula Coughlan from Bantry Bay Port Co., who joined us.
Students and staff made the most of the sunshine with a mile walk and ice creams. In the afternoon, everyone enjoyed lots of fun activities, including tag rugby, tug of war, table tennis and more.
