The Student Enterprise Programme is a national initiative run by the Network of Local Enterprise Offices of Ireland. It gives Transition Year students the opportunity to set up and run their own mini-company, experiencing first-hand what it’s like to be an entrepreneur.
Over the course of year, students:
In May, one student business from each region is selected to compete in the National Final in Dublin for the prestigious “Student Enterprise of the Year” award.

- Develop a business idea
- Create a business plan
- Market and sell their product or service
- Manage finance, operations, and customer engagement
