Leaving Certificate Chemistry builds on the foundations of the Chemistry section of Junior Cert Science.
The course includes 28 mandatory practical experiments at higher level and 21 at ordinary level, which must be completed in the lab. Also students complete a written paper, which includes questions on the experiments and examines the theory and applications of chemistry.
